Fence have announced the January 'OLO Takeover'! Read the full original post with pics and links HERE or just the text below..
Fence:
"Throughout January, the Fence website is going to have its fur ruffled by our Bristolian chums, OLO Worms. Expect lurid colours, warped interviews and some charming R’n'B recipes.
They are releasing their debut single on 7″ vinyl (with download code) this month, y’see. The single features two songs – ‘Back From England’, and ‘The Elastic Waste Band (Lo Fat Cut)’ – and is being released as part of our Secret 7 series. You can read more about the single, and have a goosey at what the cover art looks like here.
The only way to grab hold of one of these beauts is to buy an advance ticket for the forthcoming Fence Winter Tour (dubbed as the ‘Toxic Waist Band Tour‘ by the OLO’s). Copies are limited per show, so be sure and buy your tickets now to avoid unbearable jealousy, and envy fatigue.
But what does the single actually BLOODY WELL sound like? Well, instead of spraying it all over the blog-o-sphere, and zapping it up on MySpace, we’ve given exclusive access to some of our favourite DJ’s and radio shows …
BBC Introducing in Bristol will be the first to play a track, on Saturday, January 9th (1am-3am). If you’re in Bristol, you can listen live on BBC Bristol (94.9FM/104.6FM) – and everyone else can listen live online, or via the BBC iPlayer.
If you fancy staying up (or getting up early!) you’ll also be able to hear a track on Rob Da Bank’s Radio One show on Saturday, January 9th (from 5am-7am), and on the BBC iPlayer for 7 days after it’s broadcast.
Keep checkin’ the Fence website for more details on radio plaaaay …
In the meantime, the OLO boys have posted a teaser-advert for the single (which you can see on our Bandstand page). That should whit your appletit."
